across the landscapes of Southern Africa, rivers and skies, trees and animals create an ever-changing language of shape. this series seeks to reveal the beauty of those natural forms.

through the use of light, distance and atmosphere, the images are carefully composed to create minimalist scenes that nevertheless contain complex relationships between their many elements.

from the curves of water meandering through floodplains, to the subtle bends of ancient trees that form natural domes, to the straight horizons of arid plains. the geometries within these photographs reinterpret the classical icons of Africa through a quieter and more contemporary vision.
